Stéfane speaking Japanese, French, English, Portuguese
This video was recorded by Stéfane Helder in Angola, where he lives and works. An official language of the African Union, Portuguese arrived in Stéfane's native Angola during the 15th and 16th centuries with merchants and missionaries from Europe. Today, the language is spoken by more than 200 million people, primarily in Portugal and Brazil, where it is the majority native language, as well as nations throughout Africa and Asia. A literary language since at least the 800s CE, Portuguese is among the Internet's ten most common mother tongues. A native speaker of Angolan Portuguese, Stéfane has also learned French, English, and Japanese.
