Kabiye is an Eastern Guruns language of the Atlantic-Congo languages. It is spoken by as many as 1.2 million people, primarily in Togo, Benin, and Ghana. In Togo, Kabiye is recognized as a national language, which provides media access and teaching as an optional subject. In 2014, the Kabiye Wikipedia was launched, after the secretary of the Académie Kabiye launched an initiative. As of May 2020, the Kabiye Wikipedia hosts 1,604 unique pages of content.
