This video was recorded in Valletta, Malta by Loran. Maltese Sign Language (LSM) is a language isolate with around 200 native speakers on the Mediterranean island nation Malta. LSM developed into widespread use after the establishment of the first Maltese Deaf club, in the 1980s. On 16 March 2016, the Maltese Parliament recognized LSM as an official language, alongside Maltese and English.
