This video was recorded by Daniel Bögre Udell at the Rehabilitation Center in Riga, Latvia. Latvian Sign Language is a sign language used in Latvia by people who are deaf. It belongs to the French Sign Language family. There are an estimated 2,000 native speakers of Latvian Sign Language. The Latvian Association of the Deaf works to provide Deaf people with support such as sign language interpreting, cultural events, and the research and development of sign language, creating dictionaries, and providing opportunities to learn Latvian Sign Language.
