Recorded in New Town, North Dakota, USA. Junior Garcia is a language teacher, activist, and member of the Lakota Nation. He recently appeared in Rising Voices, a documentary about the Lakota community's language revitalization efforts, produced by The Language Conservancy: http://on.fb.me/1MevhaW. The Lakota language is spoken by about 6,000 people, primarily in the US American states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota and Montana.
